Strategic business plan 2010-2015

The Lesbian & Gay Foundation’s five year strategic plan, ‘Securing the Future for Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual People’, provides an honest assessment of where we are now, sets out the direction of travel the LGF intends to take over the next half decade to meet the needs of LGB people, and outlines what we believe needs to be done, and why, to achieve our goals so that our stakeholders’ expectations can be fulfilled.

With the involvement of a wide range of stakeholders throughout the organisation, this strategy intends to provide a snapshot of the role of the LGF today; the strategic goals we have identified to prioritise our work, the needs of LGB individuals and communities within these areas of strategic importance, and the approach we will take to tackle those challenges.

Each strategic goal ends with an overview of our ambition and the plans we will seek investment for over the coming years.

‘Securing the Future for Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual People’, whilst outlining the essential leadership role the LGF has to play, recognises the need for partners and allies to work with us and help us achieve our strategic goals.

No one organisation or individual can ‘End Homophobia, Empower People’ on their own, working in isolation.

Collaboration and partnership are key to the achievement of this strategy and in order to fully realise our ambitions, the LGF’s influence needs to be further developed at the national, regional and local levels.

Our strategy recognises the important work of our staff and the vital role of our volunteers in achieving our mission. Similarly, the importance of placing lesbian, gay and bisexual people firmly at the heart of everything that we do is paramount to our ongoing success.
