What next for LGB Equality?
There have been many changes to legislation affecting lesbian, gay and bisexual people in recent years and there will continue to be ongoing developments in how the law affects our communities.
Upcoming legislation includes deleting historic gay sex convictions, allowing civil partnerships in some religious places and a review on the rules around men who have sex with men giving blood.
These are just a few of the areas where lesbian, gay and bisexual people are still not treated equally. The law is only useful if we know how to use it to protect our legal rights but it is sometimes difficult to keep up to date on how any changes in the law might affect you.
If ever you feel that you are not getting the support you need please contact us at The Lesbian & Gay Foundation.
