Rainbow Partnership

The Rainbow Partnership, co-ordinated by the Lesbian and Gay Foundation, offers a way forward to strengthen and empower Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LGBT) communities and the frontline organisations who support them in the North West of England through a network of members.

Its purpose is to redress the lack of formal infrastructure within the LGBT sector and aims to provide an environment for robust partnership working across the sector and with mainstream infrastructure organisations. The outputs from the network involve regional campaigns, regular newsletters, an e-mail ‘Policy Watch’ service, subregional events, factsheets and to develop the first regional LGBT strategy. The Rainbow Partnership provides a united voice to access and influence decision makers, policy developers and strategy. Ultimately we aim to ensure that the LGBT sector is ready to take its place in the emerging competitive public service delivery arena.
