Those fabulous and gorgeous people at Essential and Queer will be collecting for the LGF every weekend (yes that’s every weekend) in June!!!!

Poptastic's Gameshow Marathon

Open the Box @ AXM Bar, Canal Street

Summer is here and with it comes some great new entertainment that you won't want to miss!

Every Tuesday and Thursday, Poptastic continues its brand new Gameshow Marathon with its famous Mobile Bingo and all new Open The Box games!

Be sure to get down to AXM Bar on Canal Street to win free entry into Poptastic, and Back2Back with Cruz 101 by playing Mobile Bingo! If that's not enough... then buy yourself a raffle ticket to win some fantastic prizes in the all new Open The Box game.

50% of the price of the raffle ticket will go into the nightly jackpot prize fund. The remaining 50% will be donated to The Lesbian & Gay Foundation.

If you are selected to play Open The Box and win, you will receive the prize fund. If there are NO lucky winners, the prize fund will roll-over until the next event - giving you an even bigger prize as the money grows!!!

Sunday 22nd June - 8pm

Lesbian Auction at Vanilla Bar, Richmond Street, Manchester

First-of-its-kind lesbian auction fundraiser to be held this summer in Manchester’s Gay Village

This fun and lighthearted event being held in Manchester’s gay village at Vanilla bar on Sunday 22 June will involve willing participants being auctioned off for a surprise date.

Highest bidders from the evening will be sent on a date the following week with the lesbian of their choice to either a restaurant, the cinema, a bowling alley or one of many other pre-arranged options, all organised by LGF but donated by external supporters.

The night will also include a number of other items available for auction and raffle from adult toys to hotel stays and shop vouchers.

Rachel Bottomley, LGF Fundraising Officer commented: "This is the first time we’ve ever held a fundraiser like this. It’s intended as a fun and lighthearted way for women to make new friends and raise some much needed funding along the way.

"All the money raised from the night will go straight back into LGF’s services for lesbian and bisexual women in the North West such as our new sex resource and free safer sex information booklet for LB women."

Tickets for the night will cost £3 and are now available to buy from both Vanilla bar and the Lesbian and Gay Foundation.

27th - 29th June - Manchester Skins Weekend

The Skins Weekend returns to Manchester and they bring with them lots of great fundraising for the Lesbian and Gay Foundation.

27th June you can find the Skins party at Taurus, The Outpost and Legends,  28th & 29th June they will be out and about at selected venues across Manchester's Gay Village, finishing on the evening of Sunday 29th June at the Outpost.  Be sure to dig deep into your pockets and give generously all weekend to the Lesbian and Gay Foundation.

Saturday 28th June 2008 

Manto Bar - Canal Street hold their monthly fundraiser on Saturday 28th June for the Lesbian and Gay Foundation.  Be sure to say hello to the collectors and give them your spare cash all going to a great cause - The LGF.

Also on 28th June Baa Bar will be pulling out all the stops again at their monthly fundraiser.  Be sure to give generously to the guys and gals on the door who do a sterling job raising lots of fab cash for the LGF.

29th June - Via Street Party, Canal Street

Via are teaming up with the LGF and Kopperburg cider of Sweden, to bring a whole day of entertainment raising money with the LGF. Hosting the day will be the deluctable Delores De Lush and her charming sisters to capitalise on the summer sun and the party atmosphere of busy Canal St.

Come dressed as Amy Winehouse on the day and be entered to win big prizes in the Amy Winehouse competition. Also performing is the UK official No.1 Amy Winehouse tribute act - Tania Alboni. It all starts at 3pm with a street band parade and will party till you drop!

Make a day out by dining in the restaurant before partying with the street performers and the LGF village fete. It promises to be a perfect end to your weekend.

‘On The Piste’

Car Boot Sale

Get rid of all your unwanted items and raise vital funds for the Lesbian and Gay Foundation whilst you’re doing it. We’ve all got things we don’t want or need, so do something charitable with them! Whether you want to come along on the day and try out those haggling techniques or just want to donate some items for us to take, we’d really like to hear from you. Minimalist is ‘in’, don’t you know.
