Volunteer role profile: Scene Reporter – Manchester & the North West

Main purpose of volunteer role

• To attend relevant Scene events of interest to the LGB community and report for inclusion in LGF related publications
• To be aware of  Scene events coming up that would be beneficial for LGF/Outnorthwest to have a representative person cover.
• To speak to relevant people at Scene events in order to capture the experience/event for our readers.

Skills and abilities required

• Outgoing person who enjoys socialising and is   professional at all times.
• Able to work to a specific brief from outnorthwest editorial team and/or LGF.
• You should be flexible around your volunteering availability, as this role will require working unsociable hours.
• Excellent written and oral communicator.
• Ability to proof read own work.

Training element

There is no specific training programme for these volunteer roles. Training will be given as and when required.
