Prenuptuals
Pre-Registration Agreements
These aren’t just for Hollywood stars! They can be very useful for things such as establishing individual financial positions or any inheritances etc. This would have to be done through a solicitor but can cost well over £1,000.
Although it may not seem romantic to ask your partner to agree to this, it could avoid possible added heartbreak if any problems arise through a dissolution (divorce) of the relationship. At the moment however, such agreements aren’t legally binding but courts may take well drafted agreements into account.
