Free gay & bisexual men's safer sex packs

Our Condom and Lube Distribution Scheme (CLDS) is one of the key aspects of our work here at the LGF and often one of the most visible.

The CLDS has been a huge success and a familiar part of Manchester’s gay life since the early 1990s. Ensuring that every gay and bisexual man in the Greater Manchester area has access to condoms, lube and safer sex information is one of our highest priorities. Today, the scheme is the largest of its kind in the UK (outside of London) and in 2006/07, the scheme was voted the most accessible scheme of its kind in the UK. (Source: Sigma gay men’s survey 2006). One of the LGF’s most important aims is to reduce the incidence of HIV infection through sex between men. All of the bars and clubs in Manchester’s Gay village stock free condoms and lube, and you can also pick them up in saunas, hotels and a host of other venues throughout Greater Manchester.
