By LGF News Team

Canal StreetThe presentation 'Transforming the city centre' will be delivered from 6-7pm under the Manchester City Centre Strategic Plan 2008-2012 and Regional Centre Transport Strategy by Keith Howcroft, Strategy Director, GMPTE at the Lesbian and Gay Foundation building on Princess St in Manchester.

The session will provide an opportunity for attendees to hear plans for how the village will be part of Manchester's ongoing transformation, recognizing it's potential to aspire to be one of the most notable gay quarters of any city in the world, and establish the Village's iconic status.

Manchester has transformed itself over the last fifteen years and the radically improved city centre is at the heart of this success the challenge for the city is to ensure that it continues to develop its assets, completes its transformation into a globally competitive, knowledge-driven economy and maximise access for Manchester residents to the opportunities that are created.

The presentation will be held at the Lesbian and Gay Foundation, 105-107 Princess Street, Manchester, M1 6DD
