Man charged over David Brown murder

39-year old remanded in custody until December 20th

David Alder, 39 of Osprey Court, Trafford, has been charged with the murder of David Brown, 24, who was found outside the door of his flat on Chorlton Road in Hulme early on September 21st after a night out in Manchester City centre.

After appearing in Manchester Magistrates' court, Alder has been remanded in custody until December 20th.

David was on a date and had been to a number of bars during the course of the evening, ending up in Cruz 101 in the gay village.

A post-mortem examination reveled that Mr Brown died as the result of a stab wound to his left thigh.

Over the last two weeks there has been a lot of enquiries centered around the gay village with a lot of support from the gay community.
