The  Walking Rainbow 2013 will take place on Sunday the 7th of July, with the walk starting from the Town Hall, through Bury, to finish at Kay gardens.

The young people from Bury’s LGBT Youth Group and Bury Youth Cabinet are hoping people from all ages and backgrounds will join them on Sunday 7th July. The group will assemble outside Bury Town Hall at 12pm to begin walking at 12:30pm. The Walking Rainbow will travel from the Town Hall up to the old Rock and then down to Kay Gardens where there will be activities, information stands, music, speakers and celebrations.

This will be the second year the event has happened following last year’s successful inaugural event.

The Walking Rainbow is supported by Bury Council, Greater Manchester Police, LGBT Youth North West, The Lesbian and Gay Foundation, Gaydio, Bury Samaritans, The Rainbow House Project, Bully Watch, O2 Think Big and Streetwise among others.

Everyone is encouraged to come along and join in the fun celebration of Bury as a diverse, tolerant and welcoming community.
