Homo Heroes Awards: Lesbian, Gay or Bisexual Role Model of the Year

We have 21 people nominated across 7 categories and the choice of who wins the Homo Heroes Awards is up to you! Here we feature the nominations for the Lesbian, Gay or Bisexual Role Model of the Year:

·         Prossy Kakooza - Prossy is a lesbian from Uganda who works to support others around the issue of LGB&T asylum and immigration and working with individuals and agencies to share her own experiences and improve the lives of others.

·         Kevin Maxwell - Kevin has been challenging the homophobic and racist discrimination he faced and sharing his experiences through the web, through print and by supporting events in order to help others.

·         Thomas Anderson - Thomas actively promotes LGB&T issues and works for inclusion and raising awareness as part of the Cooperatives Respect Network - he works himself voluntarily with other voluntary and community organisations to embed LGB&T equality within the Cooperative and share their ethical values.
