We are currently recruiting:

2 Trainee Community Organisers (Manchester City Centre)

The Lesbian & Gay Foundation are looking for dynamic, motivated and enterprising individuals who know the local area to take on the exciting new role of Community Organiser.

Community Organisers will work in Manchester city centre to help residents, businesses and groups to develop their collective power to act together for the common good. Extensive training will be given, beginning with a residential course commencing on October 22nd 2013 (successful applicants must be available to attend this training session).

Successful applicants will be employed by CoCo, the Community Organisers’ Company and hosted locally by The Lesbian & Gay Foundation, who will be providing local support, management and office facilities at the Community Resource Centre, Number 5, Richmond Street, Manchester.Closing date: 5pm Wednesday 14th August 2013.


Volunteer Manager (Maternity cover for up to12 months)    

We are looking for a dynamic and engaging individual to ensure that our volunteer programme continues to provide a quality experience for our volunteers, service users and the charity as a whole.  This will be to cover a period of maternity leave for the current post holder.This post is kindly funded by the Big Lottery’s Reaching Communities Programme.
