Sugar & Spice is The LGF's annual celebration for International Women’s Day, taking place on Saturday 9th March 12 - 6pm.

We’re really excited to announce that the agenda for the day has been finalised. The theme for this year’s Sugar & Spice is ‘Women, know your place!’ and the event will be a celebration of the diverse roles that lesbian and bisexual women play.
The day is designed so that people can drop in for a few hours or stay for the whole afternoon.

The schedule for the day is:
12.00pm
Sugar & Spice opens. Chat and networking in the café space with free food and drop-in craft activities.
1.00pm - 1.45pm
A woman's place is...on the streets - An introduction to grassroots activism
A woman's place is...kicking ass! - Kickboxing
2.00pm - 2.45pm
A woman's place is...in the boardroom - Setting up your own business
A woman's place is...making noise - An introduction to beatboxing
3.00pm - 3.45pm
A woman's place is...in the bedroom - How to have the sex you want
A woman's place is...beating her drum - African drumming
4.00pm - 4.45pm
A woman's place is...chilling out - Relaxation
A woman's place is...making connections - Speed networking to boost your social life
5.00 - 6.00pm
A woman's place is...everywhere?
Join our panel of six inspirational lesbian and bisexual women for a discussion on how they have made a place for themselves in the North West.
Free food, free massages and free craft activities are available throughout the afternoon. Please note, the schedule is subject to change.

Want to continue the celebration after Sugar & Spice? The lovely folks behind Laughing Cows Comedy Club and Rapture club night are staging a post-Sugar & Spice event downstairs at Taurus bar for lesbian & bisexual women and their friends. The event will feature a comedy quiz and stand-up comedy from some of your Laughing Cows favourites followed by a mini Rapture club night.
