Volunteers' Week: Geraldine's Story
Publish Date: 03/06/2013
Geraldine is a solicitor at O' Neill Patient Solicitors LLP. She started volunteering for the LGF in 2010 hoping it would aid her career, but volunteering soon became much more than that. The first queries she had related to homophobic abuse in the workplace, and Geraldine realised her advice could have a real impact on people's lives.
Key achievements to date are volunteering at a Pride Fringe event last year, where she advised LGB people on the different routes to parenthood.
Geraldine says " I believe the law should be accessible to everyone, regardless of income, age, race, gender or sexual orientation."
The Legal Advice Clinic runs from 6-8 PM on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month, and is completely FREE of charge. If you need legal advice, why not drop in and say hi to Geraldine. More information here.
