Womens Pride
Publish Date: 03/05/2012
We're hosting 'Womens Pride', an event forming part of the Manchester Pride Fringe on Tuesday 21st August 6 - 9 pm at the LGF.
We want to hear from you about which women you think have made a significant contribution to the LGBT rights movement in the last 100 years.
The event will celebrate the significant but over-looked role all women have played throughout the history of the LGBT rights movement and explore how women can continue to contribute positively towards this movement.
We want your views! So which women inspire you?

DUSTY SPRINGFIELD - widely regarded as the greatest popular vocalist Britain ever produced, happened to be a Gay woman. Her sexuality wasn\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t overt in her music, it was a different time, but the knowledge that a Gay woman produced the greatest body of work by any British singer should be an inspiration to young Gay artists in the more favourable climate today.
