Two Big Days of Fun at Festival Oldham

Oldham Town Centre comes alive over the May Bank Holiday weekend with Festival Oldham, two jam-packed days of FREE entertainment, shows and arts events.

Oldham gayThe big weekend takes place in Oldham Town Centre on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 May, from noon to 4pm each day.

A host of international street theatre shows and performers descend on the Town Centre. Look out for hilarious shows by the likes of DotComedy, Bruce Airhead, Circo Rum Ba Ba and many more.

Window-shop with a difference as stores come alive with dancers, and check out Carcophony – a spectacular-wacky-motorised-percussion-art-car-noisy-machine thing!

There's also a cool Interactive Kids Zone with face-painting, jugglers, stilt-walkers, arts & crafts, balloon modelling and magicians.

Plus, all the usual hilarious street show, strolling musicians and art performances that you’ve come to expect of the Festival.

Two special Festival XTRA events

On Saturday 26 May wwill be funk pioneers The New Mastersounds live at The Castle, Union Street, Oldham.
Tickets for The New Mastersounds are £7.50 and are available on the door. Doors open at 9pm.

And on Sunday 27 and Bank Holiday 28 May Saddleworth will be transformed when a giant igloo-like dome descends on the town for the Bank Holiday.

Once inside the strange structure the audience, each with their own personal stereo and headphones, follow a young woman as she tries to escape from a snow-covered crash scene.
