Team LGF win bronze in the community relay
Pride Games 2008 has finally arrived and this year the emphasis is on health, wellbeing and lifestyle, brought to you through a week of multi-activity events and tournaments.
To spread the health message further, Pride Games is launching what is believed to be a UK first, the Pride Games Health Trainers Parlour.
The sporting festival started with the community events at Alexandra Park, Moss Side and included the monthly 5km race (in association with Open Athletics) and also the community relay race over the same distance with teams of up to 3 people.
Open athletics won the relay in style and George House Trust came an excellent second in the event. The Lesbian and Gay Foundation came away with a great bronze medal. The team consisting of Darren Knight, Mark Eastwood and Simon Pearson competed in the event for Team LGF.
As the rest of the Pride Games continues, the Lesbian and Gay Foundation (in association with Pride Sports) have produced another Daily Out.
The Daily Out has been very kindly sponsored by: Proud City.Download the Pride Games 2008 Daily Out here.
