Wizard of Oz imageYes that's right, the all-time classic musical starring Judy Garland THE WIZARD OF OZ is getting a one-off special screening to launch this year's LEEDS PRIDE.

It's time to polish your red shoes, dig out your broomstick, oil yourself up and get ready to skip down the yellow brick road! Jon Bishop from the Leeds Pride Team said "Its going to be fantastic, believe me this will be OZ as you have never experienced before! The screening will be a sing-a-long and dress up - something that's never been done before in Leeds.

We want as many Dorothys, Scarecrows, Tin Men and Cowardly Lions as possible - and there's bound to be a Wicked Witch or two!! Basically dress up as anything from Oz. Its going to be a great night, I really can't wait to see every one in their costume and hear everyone singing along to 'Over the Rainbow'. There is going to be great prizes for the best dressed and also hopefully we are planning a special live performance before the film!"

Wendy Cooke from The Hyde Park Picture House said "We are honoured to be hosting the official launch event for this years' Leeds Pride, we just want this to be the start of a fantastic Pride weekend - but I would really recommend that people get their tickets as soon as possible. The cinema holds a maximum of 275 and it's sure to sell out!"

The Wizard of Oz Pride screening takes place on Wednesday July 30th at Hyde Park Picture House. Doors open at 8.00pm and show starts at 8.20pm. Tickets are on sale now at the venue or visit www.hydeparkpicturehouse.co.uk. You can also purchase tickets at Clonezone's Leeds store.

See you all there - just be careful someone doesn't drop a house on you too!!!
