Manchester LGBT Communion

Publish Date: 30/09/2008

Communion posterCommunion, the safe sacred space for LGBT people, their families, friends and supporters, celebrates its 1st Birthday on Saturday 4th October 2008, with the Bishop of Manchester the Rt Rev Nigel McCulloch in attendance. The service is not just for Anglicans, and those who do not wish to receive Communion may have a Blessing. Organisers have promised wine and birthday cake too!

The Bishop of Manchester has said of Communion: "We have started in the diocese a monthly act of worship for LGBT members of the Church of England - creating what we hope will be seen as an unambiguous message of welcome, affirmation and inclusion for LGBT people. Rejection is not good for health; nor is a church that rejects people a healthy Church."

Communion takes place on the first Saturday of the month at 5.30pm, at St Chrysostom's Church, 4A Anson Road, Victoria Park, Manchester. M14 5BG . The remaining Dates for 2008 are:
Saturday 4th October
Saturday 1st November
Saturday 6th December

I am ashamed of my fellow Lancastrians and NorthWesterners who voted in this evil piece of s**t. How can anyone be fooled by his 'changing attitudes?'
