Michael Causer Remembered
Publish Date: 12/11/2008
A memorial service is to be held for Michael Causer, the young gay man from Merseyside who died after an allegedly homophobic assault earlier this year. The service will take place at 7.30pm on Saturday November 29th at the Anglican Cathedral in Liverpool.
The service will be a celebration of Michael's life and all are welcome to attend - particularly the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender communities of Merseyside - to pay their respects. People who did not know Michael personally, are still welcome to come and pay their respects and celebrate Michael's life.
This may be the first time that a memorial service for an openly gay man has been held in Liverpool Cathedral, but despite the historic nature of the occasion, there is no dress code. Michael's family said, "Come as you are." Red AIDS ribbons, Michael Causer badges - all are welcome.
