outnorthwest issue 94

4 Nov 2009

Thank you for all the fantastic and positive feedback we've had on the new look and feel of outnorthwest. Here's some more for you and rest assured we take all of your comments to heart - we can't do this without you!

By Grahame Robertson

The next issue of your brand new look magazine is here! Packed full of more editorial pages than ever before, we can now focus our time on delivering a magazine that is even more relevant to our communities.

This issue features a focus on the return of HOMOTOPIA - Liverpool's queer art festival. With a theme of 'Homotopia, not homophobia', this year's festival offers an unrivalled selection of the best in LGBT arts. We also talk to openly gay comedian Stephen K. Amos about why it's so important for celebrities to come out and show solidarity.

A real highlight this month is The Laramie Project, 10 years on - a groundbreaking theatre production being staged simultaneously around the world and having its premiere at The Lowry in Salford.

We talk being young and gay in the UK with guest columnist Josh Booth and we speak to carer Angie Powers who, along with her partner Sarah, look after their daughter Charlotte and recently attended the LGBT carers course Caring With Confidence.

With even more focus on health, a fabulous sports section featuring Roller Derby and talking homophobia in the commentary box, our unrivalled and all new design LGB&T listings section and the LGF Annual report we really hope you enjoy this new look outnorthwest and spend the next two months reading it! We'll see you again on November 18th.
