The UK's Most Influential 101 Gay People for 2009
Every year The Independent on Sunday newspaper announces their most influential 101 gay people in the United Kingdom.
Topping this year's list and moving up a phenomenal 63 places on last year is the most powerful gay man in Britain, Lord Peter Mandelson, the Secretary of State for Business.
In second place on the list is Stephen Fry, author and presenter of QI, and Sir Ian McKellen, LGF patron is ranked third.
Beth Detto is the highest ranked female in 5th place. Although she is American, the paper have made an exception for her!
