Manchester Pride

The Lesbian & Gay Foundation offers one of the most unique and welcoming LGB&T spaces in the country. Situated in the heart of Manchester’s world famous gay Village, no other LGB organisation is equipped to offer the diverse range of services that we do.

During Manchester Pride’s Big Weekend, The LGF will open the doors of its Community Resource Centre on Richmond Street to the thousands of people attending Manchester Pride and offer something that no other Pride event can - a space to refresh, recharge, and reconnect.

LGF staff and Village Angels will be on hand to welcome visitors to The LGF at our front door, with games, resources, and a chance to find out about LGF services and what we’re up to over the weekend.

A service for those coming to Manchester Pride alone, or for those who want to make new friends. Join us for a chat and a cuppa, and make new connections in a quiet, friendly space.

Working in association with Transforum, we are offering the trans community a safe, non-judgemental space to prepare for their time within the Pride site. Two rooms will be available – one for make-up and one for changing.

Over the Big Weekend we’re offering dry blood spot testing for gay and bisexual men who live in Greater Manchester.

Health checks are also available - blood pressure, cholesterol etc.

Alongside the emotional George House Trust HIV Candlelit Vigil at Manchester Pride, we invite you to come and sign the Community Book Of Remembrance, and sit in quiet reflection. Refreshments and a friendly ear available. The Vigil begins at 9.15pm.
