Volunteer with the LGF
Thanks very much for your interest in volunteering with us!
Due to staff transitions in the Volunteer Programme, we have had to put a temporary hold on volunteer applications, and so are unable to process new applications at this time.
Please do keep an eye on our volunteering opportunities page, though, and if you haven’t signed up for our e-bulletin, you can register for it at www.lgf.org.uk/register. This will give you weekly updates about news and events, and also about any new volunteering opportunities with The LGF.
We have a huge variety of volunteer roles for you to choose from. Find out more about current volunteering opportunities.
You can help us by fundraising for us, have a look at our fundraising information to find out more.
We also have lots of ways you can volunteer for short-term or one-off events. Check out the section on short-term volunteer opportunities.
There are so many benefits to volunteering, both for you personally and to your local community. Read more about this and about our volunteers' experiences here.
You can also take a look at the short video above to see more about volunteering with the LGF!
We hope you enjoy finding out more about volunteering, and hope to hear from you very soon.
Benefits of volunteering with The LGF
There are so many reasons to volunteer. Volunteering can help you make new friends, give something back to your local community and make a difference to people's lives.
Volunteering can help you develop your personal skills and enhance your CV. Employers are often impressed by volunteering experience, and some of our volunteers who are currently unemployed offer their skills a while looking for a new job.
How to Apply
We have lots of ways you can contribute your time as a volunteer, and our application process varies depending on the volunteering area you want to get involved with.
The first step is to download the application form (.doc), complete it and send it to Bryna Subherwal, our Volunteer Manager, at firstname.lastname@example.org or calling us on 0845 3 30 30 30.
We welcome volunteer applications from everyone irrespective of sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity, faith and religion, disability and age, but, as women, ethnic minority groups, members of the trans community and religious and faith groups are currently under-represented among our volunteers, we would encourage applications from members of these groups.
