Event Full Details: We are launching the Community Book of Remembrance on Thursday 19 September 2013 at 5pm at The Lesbian & Gay Foundation’s Community Resource Centre.  This short, intimate event is being held to raise awareness of the ‘Community Book of Remembrance’ and will be followed by drinks at Via on Canal Street.

The Community Book of Remembrance has been created by a partnership of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans groups and organisations in Manchester.

Please RSVP darren.knight@lgf.org.ukto let us know that you’re coming along for the launch and join us for drinks at Via afterwards where you can also take a look at the Trans Memorial Garden in Sackville Gardens, as well as the Beacon of Hope.

The book of remembrance will be held at The Lesbian & Gay Foundation’s Community Resource Centre, so that people could come along and share their thoughts and write them down and people can also view the messages that people have left to remember those that we have lost

The focus of the Community Book of Remembrance is to provide a space for us to remember those in our community who we have lost through hate, through discrimination, through isolation and through illness.  It offers a space to reflect and keep their memory alive through a written entry into the book, remembering those we have lost from within our community.

It is the Community Book of Remembrance for all in our community.

All are welcome to this event, so please share this invitation far and wide, please let us know if you intend to come along.
