More Pride Events in the North West!

Warrington,Preston & Cumbria are all celebrating LGBT Pride on Saturday 29th September so there's no excuse to stay at home and be a party pooper!

 

Cumbria Pride

On the 29th September 2012, Cumbria Pride will host its Pride festival and showcase a whole day of activities and performances at the Swallow Hilltop Hotel.

This year, organisers have secured performances from the likes of 2012 Britain’s Got Talent finalists The Mend and 2011 X-Factor finalists Kitty Brucknell and Craig Colton, as well as many others. Plus a raffle, guest presenters and drag queens are all to be expected!

Tickets cost £3.50 for the day, if you pay in advance, or £5.50 on the door. Cumbria Pride organisers have also arranged packages for accommodation with the Swallow Hilltop Hotel.

Warrington Pride

For the first time, Warrington is hosting its first ever Pride Festival. 

On the 29th September 2012, Warrington Pride - organised by local people - will open its doors and show its mission to ‘celebrate inclusion for all sexual orientations’.

Beginning at Warrington’s Queens Square Gardens, there will be a peaceful march around the Gardens in celebration of equality, followed by a day of music, entertainment and food ending with a party at The Warrington Showbar in the evening.  

The theme for the day is ‘Queens’, so don’t be afraid to dress up and be glamorous!

Preston Pride

This year, Preston is celebrating equality for LGBT people and holding its first ever Pride festival. On the 29th September 2012, Preston Pride will be a free event held in the city centre, the events include a flag market, Preston’s Pinkest Pooch competition, adult bouncy castles and HIV awareness sessions. The event is free, and is community focussed and supported by the local council, everyone is welcome to join in.

Plus Preston Pride organisers have secured Kelly Llorenna, dance singer, who has had hits such as ‘Tell It to My Heart’ and ‘Set You Free’. She will perform live at Rumes Bar & Nightclub in Preston in the evening.
